I am a photographer with a great passion for wildlife and a fascination for my natural surroundings.
My personal preference of photographic equipment is Canon. My main body for wildlife work is the Mirrorless Canon R5 MkII. Lenses vary depending on the nature of the shoot so I carry a range of Canon lenses with focal lengths ranging from 24mm for wide angle shots to 600 mm for long range. Of course, with all photography, there is a large element of luck and being in the right place at the right time.
ABOUT DAVE

David Roberts LRPS
Founder & Managing Director
Dave has spent his lifetime working on or around the sea. From early days spent navigating the waters of Morecambe Bay with his father in his converted ship's lifeboat, to the present day where he operates a successful business - AlyKat Charters and Images Ltd- which is predominantly centred around his charter boat "AlyKat" (named after daughters Aly and Katie). Dave operates from his home town of Minehead on the south coast of the Bristol Channel from which he organises both photographic and angling charters around the Somerset, Devon and Welsh coastlines.
His passion for the sea and all that lives within is a strong now as it was in his childhood and is matched by his passion for photography- particularly wildlife and he is also a contributor to both local and overseas websites and documentaries. In 2018 he consolidated his skills by achieving a Licentiate Distinction from the Royal Photographic Society.
His other interests include angling journalism and he has been a consistent contributor to the top glossy Angling and Wildlife magazines from around the world. He is also proud to have owned and run the iconic 'free' newspaper Sea Angling News for over 5 years, turning it from a loss making hobby into the successful and popular enterprise.
